As a Convener, I feel immense pleasure to invite you for the first edition of GDTECH - AI for Digital Twin. Digital Twin is a digital replica of a living or non-living physical entity. By bridging the physical and the virtual world, data is transmitted seamlessly allowing the virtual entity to exist simultaneously with the physical entity. Digital Twin technology emphasizes two important characteristics. First, each definition emphasizes the connection between the physical model and the corresponding virtual model or virtual counterpart. Secondly, this connection is established by generating real time data using sensors. This connection allows the Digital Twin to have a very accurate duplicate representation of the physical asset.
In fact, a recent survey reveals that 13% of organizations implementing Internet of Things (IoT) within their organization are already utilizing Digital Twin. In addition to this, 62% are currently in the process of or are planning to implement Digital Twin soon.
